Good News/Bad News
Bad News: This morning I was in a car accident. I'm not hurt, but my car needs repairs.
The guy that hit me is an evacuee from New Orleans. He lived right next to Lake Pontchartrain. So I'm sure his house is destroyed.
He wants to avoid insurance and pay cash. He drove for UPS in New Orleans and he has to have a clean driving record. I'm thinking that means that he's going to be looking for similar work here in the area. I've got all his insurance info.
The estimate on the car is $1517.95. Quite a bit more than he was expecting. We agreed that I would give him until Monday before I called his insurance.
Good News: I found out today that I've got a job interview with North Lake College (which is in the same system of colleges as Stacie). The job would pay quite a bit more and Stacie and I would have the same holidays (a week at Christmas! ROCK!).
The interview is on Monday.
